F1 | Italian GP – Vasseur and his comment about Ferrari in Monza

In anticipation of the Italian GP at Monza, Fred Vasseur commented on Ferrari’s possible performance, discussing the updates.

The Italian GP is a crucial turning point for Ferrari, which must return to fighting for the positions that matter. Fred Vasseur is also aware of the situation and knows that the Monza’s updates will need to restore performance to the SF24, but the Ferrari’s key word is to stay calm.

After the podium finish at Zandvoort, Ferrari will bring updates to the SF24 to make that evolutionary step that Tifosi have been waiting for since 2023. Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur commented on the arrival of updates to the car’s floor and the impact they will have on the track.

‘The update we’ve made to the floor is to address the bouncing issue, but Monza is not the best track to determine if we’ve succeeded, especially since we run with an extreme wing setup here.’

‘There are no updates that will completely transform a car and give it three-tenths – he added – just look at what’s happening not only to us but to other teams as well. We remain focused on ourselves; sometimes when a team introduces updates, immediate results may not be evident, but they start to show in the following race.’

‘The regulations have been stable for three years, and we’ve all reached a performance asymptote. Trying to increase aerodynamic load in one area can have undesirable effects in other areas of the car.'”

This Italian GP is going to be a good one for Ferrari but Vasseur knows that Monza update’s working will be the most important thing for the last part of the season.
